When the first Tea Parties began to assemble across the U.S. the mainstream media looked confused, befuddled, and even angry. They practically said, “Conservatives don’t protest- that’s something the left owns!” Seeing such large numbers of conservative/Libertarian people gathering as, dare I say, activists , didn’t fit their story line. The Tea Party didn’t fit their agenda- and oh yes, they have an agenda.

If you are uncertain of how the mainstream media overwhelmingly views the Tea Party, just do a google search. It doesn’t take long to get a feel for how the majority of the media elite feel.

If there was any doubt that the mainstream media, as a whole, have a left-leaning agenda, then their reaction to the latest Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protests should have sealed the deal. It would be funny, if what is happening wasn’t so serious- and outright disgusting.

As we wrote in a previous posting, the OWS protests are everything that the media warned us about the Tea Party. Whether it was Hollywood elite or MSNBC, they warned us that the Tea Party was going to bring violence and bigotry- none of which happened. They tried to portray the Tea Party, and anyone who didn’t fall in line with the Obama Administration, as being a bunch of unintelligent idiots. Have you seen the people who are occupying? We are beginning to become embarrassed for them…not.

We get it. The MSM have an agenda. A two month long protest filled with rapes, violence, destruction, and out in the open bigotry is occurring blocks away from every major news source in the world- and it takes a few small time bloggers and independent news sources to capture the story themselves.

One might believe that a man who, on camera, threatened to throw molotov cocktails at Macy’s- as well as other terroristic threats, might make the front page news; if not the paper, maybe the web? It’s quite obvious that the MSM is protecting the image of the OWS movement.

Sure, the media will mention arrests, but they also describe the “celebration” of the movement taking place November 17th. But there is nothing to celebrate as the protesters blocked people from going to work, even spitting on them. There aren’t a few rude people in this movement- this IS a rude movement.

Restoring Honor rally: 8-28-2010

When Glenn Beck hosted Restoring Honor at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 2010, a half-million people gathered peacefully and left the grounds cleaner then when they got there. There were no arrests, vandalism, or bigotry. The gathering didn’t hurt local businesses as the OWS is doing- but rather, the event made money for local businesses- by the millions.

The old “hippy” saying, “Only leave your footprints behind” is actually lived out by the Tea Party/Conservatives. The OWS movement leave a trail of violence, rape, trash, feces, and broken property- and dreams.

So we go back to our original question: Why is the MSM so invested in making the OWS look like a bunch of peaceful “everyday” people? The truth is, newsrooms everywhere are filled to the brim with left-leaning ideologues who want nothing more then a leftwing version of the Tea Party.  Deep down they know that the Tea Party was successful, peaceful, and had impact.  The OWS protests were supposed to be “their Tea Party”.

The "important" news of the day...

Their pride wouldn’t let them report the truth- that this movement is everything opposite of good and representative of The People. Instead of taking a step back and admitting that they got it wrong, they are choosing to not report the news.

Maybe that’s why the head story on the MSNBC site is about “Bacon” and how “Thousands go wacky in bid for Guinness records”…meanwhile Manhattan is being threatened with Molotov cocktails and destruction by the OWS protesters.

This is when the guy comes along and tells us, “There’s nothing to see here people, keep moving along, keep moving along…”
