Sometimes children throw tantrums when they don’t get their way. A 5 year-old say, “I don’t want to go to school, I want more candy, I want the new Transformer toy…me, me, me, now, now, now!”
Most parents will explain to the child that they don’t have a choice in the matter of school, candy will spoil their dinner, and unless it’s their Birthday, they can save their allowance for the Transformer. Being a child, immature and in-experience, he doesn’t quite get that the world doesn’t revolve around him today. But eventually, the 5 year-old grows up to be a 25 year-old and learns that there are consequences to actions, and hard-work is required to attain “nice things”- most of the time. And the world really doesn’t revolve around him- but that’s beside the point.
The truth is, most of us don’t walk around acting like the 5 year old kid we once were. But some people never grow out of the “me, me, me” mentality, demanding to suckle off the “government udder”. We’re talking about the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protestors. If one could give an example of who these people are, and what they represent, look no further then the video below featuring an OWS “leader” talking about their demands.
There seems to be a missing piece of “logic” brain matter. Or maybe these “Occupiers” actually believe money grows on “magic money trees”. Delusional? Quite possible. Irrational? Most likely. Useful idiots? Most definitely.
The following video features a segment from the Sean Hannity program, with Sean interviewing an OWS protester “leader”. If this is one of their “leaders”, it’s hard to imagine what the rest of the “Me Generation” Occupiers sound like.
