The Star Spangled Banner- our National Anthem; it is a song that is performed, or played, before high school football games, Major League Baseball games, NASCAR, the Super Bowl, and even before the public school day.

From a musical standpoint, it is a challenging song to sing. And from a lyrical point, it is easy to let the meaning and content escape us. We hear these words so many times a year, for our entire lives- but do we stop and hang on to each and every word? For someone who was not born a U.S. Citizen; someone who had to leave their birthplace, family, and to work hard to go through the classes, take the tests, to become a new citizen- you better believe that they hang on to the words of the  Star Spangled Banner.

At Glenn Beck’s Restoring Love event at Cowboys Stadium, one of those new citizens of the United States, Alex Boye,  took each and every word to our National Anthem to heart.
